Getting Started with the Right Technology

  1. What browser should I use? If you are using an FCA provided ThinkPad or any computer system running a Microsoft Windows OS, you should use Firefox. If you are at home using your own computer, Google Chrome will work as well.
  2. Can I use my home computer or other device? Yes, you can use a PC or Mac computer. If you do, you can use the Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari browser.
  3. What browser should I avoid? Microsoft Internet Explorer is no longer supported by Microsoft and will not work correctly with this course system, which uses new programming techniques that IE does not support. If you happen to have a computer running a newer Microsoft Windows OS, you may use Microsoft’s newer browser Edge.
  4. Can I go back and forth between my work and home systems? Sure. The course series is designed to save your progress. However, we recommend logging out of one system before logging into the other.
